The Elkhart Education Foundation is kick-starting a new summer camp this year called Summerscape Day Camp.

The camp runs from June 5th – July 28th for week long intervals.
Children who are entering first grade through eighth grade can be registered to be a part of the program.
They have 18 different camp themes: Exploring the Great Outdoors, Animal Adventures and Hands On Science and more.
Parents can choose to do a half day for $95 per child and they also have a full day option for $165. Half days run from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Working parents can also take advantage of before and after care starting at 7 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m. for $5 an hour. Parents who register more than one child can get $10 off each additional child.
Ashley Molyneaux is the Executive Director of the Elkhart Education Foundation. She says Summerscape came about because of a lack of summer programming in Elkhart County.
“We wanted to make sure that our students had a safe, fun, educationally enriching place to go where those weeks where parents are working and kids are out of school,” says Molyneaux.
